Internazionale SC of Edmonton is proud to have a team of 9 Technical Coaches dedicated to supporting players and coaches across every level of our program—from Grassroots, through Developmental, and into our Competitive teams.
- SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING: Each coach works directly with players to strengthen technical ability and confidence on the field.
- COACH SUPPORT ON AND OFF THE BENCH: They collaborate with team coaches during practices and matches, ensuring consistent growth and guidance.
- PLAYER AND TEAM GROWTH: By combining expertise with mentorship, they help shape both individual talent and collective team performance.

GOALKEEPER COACHES
Internazionale Soccer Club stands out as one of the few clubs in the Edmonton area to provide dedicated, high-quality training for goalkeepers.
- U8–U11 GOALKEEPERS: Guided by Coach Carly Speelman, who brings current competitive experience as the NAIT OOKs’ starting goalkeeper. At this stage, kids are learning fundamentals—positioning, handling, and confidence in using their hands.
- U12–U17 GOALKEEPERS: Trained by professional goalkeeper Mark Medvedev, whose background in Ukraine adds international expertise. Older players benefit from advanced tactical awareness, distribution skills, and mental resilience.
This structure ensures that younger players build a solid technical base, while older ones refine their game with professional-level insights. It also gives them role models who are actively playing or have played at high levels, which is motivating and inspiring.
